Logistics Support

Logistics support services are a well-established core competency of Windmill. The company enjoys a long history of planning and implementing Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) programs for our NATO AWACS customer, and more recently, for the Homeland Security Department’s Transportation Security Administration.

On the NATO AWACS program, our professionals develop Integrated Support Plans and prepare logistics requirements for inclusion in SOWs. We ensure that Logistics Support Analysis (LSA) tasks reflect actual requirements and that contractor generated LSA’s are consistent and fully integrated down to the task level. Windmill responsibilities also include coordinating Integrated Technical Documentation (ITD) initiatives across the complete international AWACS fleet.

In 2002 Windmill teamed with Lockheed-Martin to implement the Specialized Security Training program for TSA. Windmill was responsible for the program’s supply chain and distribution center, for the IT based classroom and support facilities, and for staffing of airport logistics and IT managers to support instructional delivery teams nationwide.

Windmill supported the initial training of more than 57,000 new Federal passenger screener security employees. Our National Support Center manages more than 70,000 items of accountable-property including 7,392 PC systems and 400 training kits. At our performance peak, Windmill supported more than 90 active training site locations serving almost 6,000 students/week nationwide.

Due to Windmill's proven experience and performance, we continue to support this and other TSA training initiatives.
