Medical Insurance (HMO and PPO)

Medical “Opt Out” Payments

Medical coverage for members and their eligible dependents is offered through Harvard Pilgrim Health Care.  The HMO is available to members residing in the New England region.  The PPO is available to all other members.  Prescription drug coverage and an annual eye exam are available under both plans.  Windmill funds 85% of the premiums.  Both plans have a deductible of $500/individual or $1500/family.  As an alternative to the company sponsored medical plan, members may elect to “opt out” of the company insurance and provide their own health care coverage through another source such as military retirement, individual insurance, or spouse’s medical plan.  If a member opts out, and if there is an associated cost, the member will receive 85% of that cost as long as the costs do not exceed the current Harvard Pilgrim Health Care premiums.

Health Reimbursement Account (HRA)

Reimbursement of medical deductibles is offered to members when the deductible is required for certain services.  Members must submit for reimbursement through our third party administrator, Group Dynamic, Inc.

Dental Insurance (with adult orthodontia)
